Sports Mind Skills™ FAQs

Relaxing with Sports Mind Skills
What do I need to download the tracks on Sports Mind Skills?
The big three: computer, internet connection & credit card.

How do I get the downloaded files to my MP3 player?
Once you click to download your tracks, a dialog box will come up asking where you want to save your files. We suggest putting them in the same place as your music files for easy transfer to your MP3 player. iPod users see below.

How do I get the downloaded files to my iPod?
iPod users should get the downloaded mental training tracks into their iTunes music folder on their computer so they can then be transferred to their iPod. This folder is normally under My Documents > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music. Put your Sports Mind Skills files there and then, open iTunes and go File > Add folder to Library. Browse for the files/folder you just downloaded and add it! It will then appear in your iTunes Music Library. Once your iPod is connected you can select the files in the Library and drag them to the iPod icon in the left column of iTunes (under Devices). (Or, just synch your iPod in the way you normally do it!).

But I don't have an iPod/MP3 player!
Even without an ipod you can download the tracks on to your computer and listen to them straight from your computer with or without head phones. To make them portable, you can also burn the tracks to a CD using one of many programs that handle CD burning, like Windows Media Player, Nero or iTunes. Alternatively we have produced a small run of CDs of Rowing Mind Skills and Sailing Mind Skills if you would prefer this format. Here is the order form.

How long will it take to download?
As a guideline, the full Sailing Mind Skills CD will take about 2 hours 22 min on a dial-up connection (56kbps), near an hour at 128kbps, just over 15min at 512kbps, and just over 5 min at 1,500 kbps. By the way, Sailing Mind Skills is 60.1mb. Rowing Mind Skills is 36.3mb and will take 1 hour 26 min at 56kbps, about 38min at 128kbps, 9:27min at 512kbps and just over 3min at 1,500kbps. Help, I can't get it to work!
While we have tried hard to ensure Sports Mind Skills is easy to use, there may be issues we are yet to encounter. If you're having trouble, please immediately contact us at info@sportsmindskills.com and we will try to set things right.

Will the track names come up in my music playing software?
Yes, embedded in the MP3 files are the track name, artist, time, bit rate, album, etc.

Can I get a CD of the tracks?
If you download the tracks you can then burn them to CD, saving you time and cash! However, (for Sailing Mind Skills and Rowing Mind Skills only) if you're technically not quite up for this and you'd really like to get your hands on a CD and the nice looking CD case and art work, we can send you one. Email your details (name, address, credit card information including CCV number) to us at info@sportsmindskills.comand we'll post one out. Alternatively, open and print this order form and send it to us via regular mail.

How do I transfer the CD to my digital music player?
It's easy. Insert the CD in your computer's CD/DVD drive. A dialog box will come up asking whether you'd like to play or open the music files. Open the CD folder and copy the MP3 files to the folder on your computer where your music is stored - you might like to make a new folder called Sports Mind Skills to house the tracks. Then you can go to your music player software (eg, iTunes) and add that folder to your music library. Next, connect your MP3 player to your computer and simply drag and drop the mental training tracks to the device.
