Thanks for taking an interest in Sports Mind Skills™. As we continue to develop and catalogue sport psychology training products and resources we look forward to supporting the development of your high performance thinking.

To become ‘thinking athletes’ we need to learn how to think about our sport and about our performance. It’s important to discover how to arrive at a state of mind that is best for our performance. Being prepared and feeling confident and focused before and during an event are a high priority.  

There are also a host of techniques than can be used to enhance skill learning in training, for example using cue words and mood words, visualization, mental rehearsal, self-talk, breaking a complex skill down into simpler parts and practising repetitively. We’ll aim to bring you resources that can help with all of this for your specific sport. You might also benefit from hearing about the keys to success in sports other than your own – that’s why this site will take a multi-sport approach.

Using the combined skills of elite athletes and sports psychologists, Sports Mind Skills™ aims to provide very practical resources. We want to provide you with access to these resources any time anywhere, so we’ll be looking to use the latest technology to bring these resources directly to you.
